NYC’s Required QR Codes For City Buildings
We posted a link to this story before on TechCrunch.com, but more detail has emerged.
Here’s the problem: The QR codes won’t be in logical, easy-to-scan places, such as a storefront window or a restaurant’s letter-grade card. They’ll be on the unglamorous permits themselves, which means they’ll likely be tucked away behind a bar or around a desolate corner en route to the bathroom.
So the greater transparency this would have encouraged has been undermined by the implementation.
